Automation of a submersible pump certification process

At Graue Ingeniería Aplicada, we developed a SCADA system for Villarreal División de Equipos to fully automate the certification of submersible motor pumps.

The implemented solution allows the database to automatically identify the equipment and accurately setup the optimal electrical parameters for its operation by just entering the pump and motor number to the system. Once the pump is energized, the system measures and records pressure, flow, voltage, amperage, and power factor in real time, with the capacity to perform up to 12 measurements per test.

All the collected information is processed into an automated technical report, tailored to the client's needs, which guarantees accurate, traceable, and reliable data to validate the reliability, performance, and quality of each piece of equipment before delivery.

Thanks to this project, Villarreal División de Equipos has managed to significantly reduce testing times, minimize human errors, and standardize the certification of its products, thus strengthening its competitiveness in the market.

Since its implementation in 2023, this SCADA system has successfully completed more than 24,000 submersible pump certifications without any malfunctions, demonstrating not only the reliability of the products used but also the robustness of our industrial automation solutions.
